The method is based on a set of structuring principles:

  • Driving the development through vision : the development process 4SH-CDM must show up rapidly and clearly ties between leaders vision and business process modelling at the heart of the product. It creates an image of the foreseen future rather than engage exhaustively in a to-date analysis.
  • Creating a prototype to ease iterative development: Arguments favouring prototyping of User System Interface (USI) and other visible system parts are indisputable. Prototyping is the best way to obtain user commitment in the modelling process

The practise we recommend is to build a limited conceptual data model at the beginning of the Design and then complete the data model based upon ideas acquired through prototyping

  • Design : Workshops with 4SH and the client are essential to define the content and behavior of the selected concept out of numerous tests and prototypes. The technical team identifies and validates the design, architecture and development steps of the project.
  • Develop : Planning of the development must be carefully executed and controlled by a senior integration architect.
  • Deploy : This phase leads to the validation and automation of the product, together with the delivery of documentation and procedures.
